People with gut conditions can often feel unsafe in their body, especially when they eat—not knowing what reaction the food will cause.
This can lead to stress and anxiety, which can in turn can lead to more gut issues, due to the bi-directional signalling of the gut-brain axis.
Living with a chronic gut disorder myself, I know the anguish that eating can involve, and the power of yoga to help. Yoga and breathwork reduce both the physical and mental symptoms of gut conditions by relaxing the nervous system, moving trapped energy around, softening fascia, releasing trauma from in your body, and changing anxious thought patterns.
I offer specialised yoga for gut disorders including:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome - C, D, and mixed
Inflammatory Bowel Disease
SIBO (Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth)
